Girls' Talk: Cards,Cards and more Cards | Cartões (O que fazer com eles?)

If you are like me and love to receive or give cards, then you will also love this post. Have you ever wondered what to do with so many cards after a special event such as a wedding, bridal shower, baby shower, birthday or any other special celebration? I personally love memories and love to keep special things that remind me of a certain event or a meaningful moment. When Richard and I got married we received the cutest cards ever, and with them many special messages. I didn't want to just throw them away, after all, it wasn't just the messages on the cards that were special to us, but the people that wrote it. I made sure to keep them in a safe place until I figured out what to do with them. I was able to find a scrapbook where I could put not just the cards, but little things of that day that reminded me of that moment. It worked so well that after my baby shower last year I did the same with the cards. Yes, it does take a little bit of time but it's worth it. It's a way of keeping all the memories from that one remarkable day in a safe little place, where you can always go to be reminded of how life goes by so fast, and how each moment must be lived like your last.

Se você é como eu e ama receber ou dar cartões, então você também vai amar esse post. Você já pensou no que fazer com todos aqueles cartões que recebeu de algum evento especial, seja ele o casamento, um chá de panela ou de bebê, ou até mesmo uma celebração de aniversário? Eu pessoalmente amo guardar qualquer coisa que me lembre de um certo evento ou momento significativo. Quando o Richard e eu nos casamos nós recebemos cada cartão mais lindo que o outro, e nele mensagens especiais. Eu não queria simplesmente joga-los fora, afinal, não era somente as mensagens escritas em cada cartão que se tornou especial para nós mas sim cada pessoa que as escreveram. Eu então guardei todos numa caixa até descobrir o que fazer com eles. Logo encontrei um album de recortes, mais conhecido como "scrapbook", e nele fui colocando não somente os cartões mais também pequenos detalhes/itens que me lembrava daquele dia significativo em minha vida. Sim, fazer um scrapbook leva tempo e criatividade, porém, é tão bom poder abri-lo e relembrar memórias que talvez ja se apagaram ou rever pequenas mensagens de pessoas que você muitas vezes já não vê a tempo mas ainda tem um cantinho especial no coração.

Abaixo segue algumas fotos do "scrapbook" de casamento e baby shower do Jordan. Seja criativo também e lembre, não jogue aquele cartãozinho que você recebeu de aniversário fora, guarde. Depois de um tempo você irá perceber como é bom relembrar pessoas, momentos, e claro, o passado.

Wedding Scrapbook

The scrapbook allows you to include whatever you want, you can either glue it, tape it or even staple it. I've added my two bridal showers invitations, my wedding invitation, and all the other cards.

( O legal do scrapbook é que ele permite você fazer da maneira que desejar. Você pode colar, grampear, adicionar adesivos etc..)

Baby Shower's Scrapbook

Here I've added items from my gender reveal party, instead of throwing it away, you never know how these little things that look insignificant can mean so much in the future. I've added the cake topper, gender reveal balloon confetti, and my bridal shower pin that I wore.

(No scrapbook dos cartões do meu chá de bebê adicionei também alguns itens que usamos e foram significativos pra mim como o broche que usei no chá, os confettis que estavam dentro do balão de revelação e o enfeite do bolo.)

Another way to make it even more special is adding photos in between the cards. Being creative is key to making a good scrapbook. (Outra maneira de adicionar ao album seria fotos entre os cartões. É sempre bom relembrar as pessoas que estiveram presentes , acredite ou não, conforme o tempo vai passando, nem isso agente lembra mais.)
