Faith: Where Jesus Walked | Por onde Jesus passou - Israel part 1

So you've read the stories from the Bible and always wondered where a certain miracle, parable or story took place? It's always been a dream of mine to visit Israel/Palestine and I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to visit last year; and more importantly, to see where Jesus walked. It's an amazing and very emotional experience. In this post I'll be sharing some passages of the book of Matthew and the sites where they took place. I am also leaving bellow the company's info we chose to guide us through this amazing trip. Our guide was very knowledgeable and the company really took care of our concerns and needs. I highly recommend them if you ever decide to go.

Voce já leu alguma passagem bíblica e imaginou o lugar em que um certo milagre, parábola, ou história ocorreu? Eu sou muito grata por ter conhecido e visitado Israel e Palestina em 2016, porém, mais importante que visitar, foi vivenciar os passos de Jesus. Foi uma experiência maravilhosa e muito emocionante. Neste post vou compartilhar algumas passagens do livro de Mateus e o lugar onde cada uma delas ocorreu. Capharnaum | Cafarnaum

Mathew 8:5

When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help.

Entrando Jesus em Cafarnaum, dirigiu-se a ele um centurião, pedindo-lhe ajuda.

Matthew 4:23

Jesus traveled throughout the region of Galilee, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness.

Jesus foi por toda a Galiléia, ensinando nas sinagogas deles, pregando as boas novas do Reino e curando todas as enfermidades e doenças entre o povo.

Mathew 4:18

As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.

Andando à beira do mar da Galiléia, Jesus viu dois irmãos: Simão, chamado Pedro, e seu irmão André. Eles estavam lançando redes ao mar, pois eram pescadores.

Matthew 3:13-16

Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John... 16. As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

Então Jesus veio da Galiléia ao Jordão para ser batizado por João... Assim que Jesus foi batizado, saiu da água. Naquele momento o céu se abriu, e ele viu o Espírito de Deus descendo como pomba e pousando sobre ele. 17 Então uma voz dos céus disse: “Este é o meu Filho amado, em quem me agrado”.

Matthew 26:36-39

36 Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, “Sit here, while I go over there and pray.” 37 And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38 Then he said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch[a]with me.” 39 And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”

36 Então Jesus foi com seus discípulos para um lugar chamado Getsêmani e lhes disse: “Sentem-se aqui enquanto vou ali orar”. 37 Levando consigo Pedro e os dois filhos de Zebedeu, começou a entristecer-se e a angustiar-se. 38 Disse-lhes então: “A minha alma está profundamente triste, numa tristeza mortal. Fiquem aqui e vigiem comigo”.

39 Indo um pouco mais adiante, prostrou-se com o rosto em terra e orou: “Meu Pai, se for possível, afasta de mim este cálice; contudo, não seja como eu quero, mas sim como tu queres”.

Matthew 27:28-31

28 And they stripped him and put ja scarlet robe on him, 29 and twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on his head and put a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying, “Hail, lKing of the Jews!” 30 And they spit on him and took the reed and struck him on the head. 31 And when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the robe and put his own clothes on him and led him away to crucify him.

Tiraram-lhe as vestes e puseram nele um manto vermelho; 29 fizeram uma coroa de espinhos e a colocaram em sua cabeça. Puseram uma vara em sua mão direita e, ajoelhando-se diante dele, zombavam: “Salve, rei dos judeus!” 30 Cuspiram nele e, tirando-lhe a vara, batiam-lhe com ela na cabeça. 31 Depois de terem zombado dele, tiraram-lhe o manto e vestiram-lhe suas próprias roupas. Então o levaram para crucificá-lo.

Matthew 27:33-37

As they were going out, they met a man from Cyrene, named Simon, and they forced him to carry the cross. 33 They came to a place called Golgotha (which means “the place of the skull”). 34 There they offered Jesus wine to drink, mixed with gall; but after tasting it, he refused to drink it. 35 When they had crucified him, they divided up his clothes by casting lots. 36 And sitting down, they kept watchover him there. 37 Above his head they placed the written charge against him: this is Jesus, the king of the jews.

Chegaram a um lugar chamado Gólgota, que quer dizer lugar da Caveira, 34 e lhe deram para beber vinho misturado com fel; mas ele, depois de prová-lo, recusou-se a beber. 35 Depois de o crucificarem, dividiram as roupas dele, tirando sortes[a]. 36 E, sentando-se, vigiavam-no ali. 37 Por cima de sua cabeça colocaram por escrito a acusação feita contra ele: ESTE É JESUS, O REI DOS JUDEUS.

Matthew 28:5-7

5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”

O anjo disse às mulheres: “Não tenham medo! Sei que vocês estão procurando Jesus, que foi crucificado. 6 Ele não está aqui; ressuscitou, como tinha dito. Venham ver o lugar onde ele jazia. 7 Vão depressa e digam aos discípulos dele: Ele ressuscitou dentre os mortos e está indo adiante de vocês para a Galiléia. Lá vocês o verão. Notem que eu já os avisei”
